Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) shares rose over 7% on Tuesday after Punit Goenka resigned as Managing Director but will remain as the company’s CEO.
In a regulatory filing, ZEEL announced that the board had accepted Goenka’s resignation as MD and appointed him as CEO to allow him to focus on operational duties.
Following the news, ZEEL’s stock jumped 7.35%, reaching an intraday high of Rs 123.89 on the NSE. By 10 am, shares were trading at Rs 123.56, up 7.07%.
